Dear National Service Colleagues,

Last Friday, President Obama signed a continuing resolution which will fund the Corporation for National and Community Service and various other federal agencies and programs at Fiscal 2009 levels through December 18, 2009.

The funding measure, which was attached to Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, was needed to keep government programs operating after the expiration of the first continuing resolution that ended on October 31. As in prior fiscal years, our operations under a continuing resolution are limited and we will be following our normal annual practices during this period of interim funding.
